Cognizant hiring: As per The Economic Times, Cognizant is preparing to hire 50,000 freshers this year, whereas Mindtree plans to start hiring 5000-6000 campus recruits in FY23, and Larsen & Toubro Infotech has raised its objective by 10% over last year. Thus, we can expect companies to offer higher salaries, better packages, and more flexibility to attract the best talent.
New employees must be prepared for positions involving emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics, says Nasscom’s senior vice president Sangeeta Gupta.
Information and technology, start-ups and telecommunications are some sectors that show tremendous potential for growth and are very interested in hiring new candidates, i.e. freshers by almost 59% of the companies, which was recently revealed from the report by TeamLease Edtech.
The majority of the company’s recent hires come from engineering institutes. Cognizant hires in fields like cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and analytics. L & T Infotech is also considering tech positions in digital, cloud and data, as well as niche industries.
Numerous companies, such as Tech Mahindra and Mphasis, have extended their reach into Tier 2 and 3 cities.
